The following is the writer’s comments at the beginning.
I’m a staff member of Webjapanese and I have been teaching Japanese since 1996. And also I have learned English conversation for 10 years!! *Sigh*…
But I am still bad at speaking English. One of my problem is idioms.
Even if I know the meaning of each word, I can’t catch the meaning of the idioms.
I think there are some Japanese learners who have the same problem as me - Japanese idioms-.
Here I am providing an idiom in a short column to my friends once a week.
Please enjoy reading my column and learn how to use idioms in sentences.
* I introduce one idiom in a short column once a week.
* There are translations and literally translations -[lit]- under the column so that you can find how the literal meanings of the idioms relate to the actual usage.
