The picture above shows sake barrels (樽-taru) and they are usually available in sizes from 一斗(itto) to ５斗(goto).
The most common size for a sake bottle is一升 (issho). See the photo below.
一斗(itto) and ５斗(goto) are old Japanese measurements.
1升 (issho) = about 1.8 litres
一斗(itto) = about 18 litres
